Iowa Winds was a development primarily in Franklin County, Iowa that was purchased and developed as the Whispering Willows Wind Farm by Alliant Energy in 2007.

With Bruce Rastetter serving as Founding CEO, Hawkeye Energy Holdings grew to become the second largest pure-play ethanol producer in the country before its sale to Flint Hills Resources in 2010.

Heartland Pork
Heartland Pork grew out of three separate businesses – feed management, building construction and swine production – into one business enterprise. Heartland grew to become the 13th largest pork producer in the United States. In 2004, the company was acquired by Christensen Farms. The resulting company became the 4th largest pork producer in the United States.
